RegWatchEurope has released its appraisal of the newly published OECD Regulatory Policy Outlook 2025.
The Outlook arrives at a pivotal moment for governments navigating rapid technological, environmental, and societal change. In its appraisal, RWE welcomes the OECD’s emphasis on forward-looking and adaptive regulation, stronger evidence- and risk-based policymaking, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and improved regulatory delivery. RWE also highlights the growing role of digitalisation and AI in enhancing regulatory quality, reflecting ongoing initiatives within the network. The appraisal concludes that the Outlook aligns closely with RWE’s mission and offers valuable guidance for further strengthening regulatory systems. RWE encourages continued cooperation with the OECD and suggests that future editions could include more detailed country-specific recommendations.
