Opinion on Interinstitutional Agreement

RegWatchEurope has offered its views towards the planned revision of the Interinstitutional Agreement on Better Lawmaking. Our contribution particularly focusses on the elements of the agreement that concern impact assessments and consultation. We stress the need to strengthen the use of impact assessments in the three EU institutions, proportionate to the proposal, and to develop a common method for this. In this process, appropriate stakeholder consultation is key.
