Welcome to the Moldovan RIA Board

The last event of the year, which also marked the conclusion of the Danish Presidency of RegWatchEurope, took place on 5 December. The RegWatchEurope Board met to review recent developments, ongoing initiatives, and emerging priorities across the member states.

The Board convened for a full day filled with constructive dialogue and forward-looking exchanges. Members reflected on recent institutional and political developments in their respective countries, providing insights into the evolving approaches to regulatory scrutiny across Europe.

The meeting also represented an important moment for RegWatchEurope, as new colleagues from Moldova participated for the first time as associate members.

RegWatchEurope is pleased to welcome its new associate member, the Moldovan RIA Board. Since 2008 Moldova has been actively engaged in impact assessment and has for many years contributed to advancing better regulation. Their participation will without a doubt strengthen the network’s collective mission to promote better regulation and oversight across Europe.

RegWatchEurope is looking forward to collaborating with the Moldovan RIA Board and to benefit from their experiences in enhancing regulatory quality.

“The Moldovan RIA Board, also known as the Working Group on Regulation of Business Activity, is delighted to join RegWatchEurope as an associate member. By independently scrutinizing RIA reports and draft regulations, we are making a significant contribution to the quality of regulation in Moldova. Membership in RegWatchEurope will further strengthen this role and enable us to benefit from the exchange of best practices with independent European RIA boards and from deeper engagement in EU and international debates on better regulation, which is especially important for Moldova as an EU candidate country transposing the EU acquis.” (Roman Cazan, President of the Working Group on Regulation of Business Activity)
